Sit & Train (10 day Minimum)

For dog parents looking to make the most of time away, Mandy’s Sit & Train program combines her professional pet sitting with training sessions tailored to your dog’s needs. Each day includes structured, positive practice on one or two key behaviors — like calmer greetings, better focus, or easier leash walks — always using gentle, positive reinforcement based methods that keep learning enjoyable.

  • Everything that's included in our regular pet sitting but requires a minimum of 10 days or more.

  • Daily training sessions tailored the behaviors you're needing help on & your dogs' individual needs

  • At the end, you'll receive:

    • Detailed training notes and progress summary

    • Video demonstrations to maintain the progress we make

    • Two post-stay, 1hr hand off sessions where I coach you & your dog, review techniques & next steps

    • Handouts, homework & training referrals (if needed.)

Every dog learns at their own pace, so while results can't be guaranteed, you'll have a clear, sustainable foundation to keep progress going once you're home.

How far in advance should I book?

As soon as you know your travel dates! Pet sitting spots are limited and Sit & Train stays require a 10-day minimum.

Do I have to schedule a virtual call before a Meet & Greet?

Yes. The virtual call is an important first step before scheduling a meet & greet. It gives Mandy a chance to learn more about your pets, their routines, and any special details about their care. It’s also a great time for you to ask questions and make sure her services are the right fit for your pets and your home before moving forward.

Do you work with reactive/shy/nervous dogs?

Often, yes. Because of Mandy’s behavior background, she is able to accommodate dogs who need a slower approach. She may recommend extended or multiple meet & greets for certain dogs to better acclimate them. For safety purposes Mandy does not take on human-aggressive or dog-aggressive dogs, or dogs with a bite history.

Do you stay in my home the whole time?

Yes — this is a live-in service. Mandy will be present majority of the day and overnight, leaving only briefly for errands.

Will my dog’s training be guaranteed?

There are no guarantees with training as every dog learns differently & at their own pace. Real change takes time, but you’ll receive professional guidance, videos, support and homework to continue progress confidently.

Can you care for other pets too?

Absolutely! Cats and multi-pet homes are welcome. Though training is limited to dogs-only and only 1 dog at a time per stay, to ensure Mandy is dedicating enough time to training progress.

Do you charge extra for holidays?

Yes. A 50% holiday rate applies to all major holidays and peak travel periods.

Do you require a deposit to hold dates?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve your dates. The remaining 50% is due on the first day of the stay.

What is your cancellation policy?

Because overnight sitting blocks off significant time, deposits are non-refundable once booked. If you need to cancel or adjust your dates, please let Mandy know as soon as possible. She’ll always do her best to accommodate changes when she can — life happens, and communication helps make it easier for everyone.

"Mandy is amazing, attentive and trustworthy.
