Insured, certified, and committed to clear communication, Mandy keeps pet parents informed and provides care and training with the same attention she gives her own animals.
Choosing the right training support can feel like a big decision — it’s okay to have questions first!
If you’d like to talk things through before booking, you’re welcome to schedule a free 20-minute discovery call with Mandy. This is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation where she can answer your questions & help you decide if training with Pacific North Woof is the right fit.
McMinnville, Newberg, Carlton, Dayton, Dundee & throughout Yamhill County
Start by booking a Training Consultation. We’ll talk through what’s going on, your goals, and your dog’s history, then build a clear plan for next steps while giving you homework to build on.
You can book a free 20-minute discovery call to ask questions and make sure you’re choosing the right next step—no pressure to book.
I help with common training goals like: puppy foundational skills, new adoption integration, leash walking, manners, trick training, recall, reactivity, and cooperative care for grooming/vet visits. I do not take aggression cases (bite history/severe aggression towards dogs or people), but I am happy to refer out to my list of trusted professionals that are certified for such cases.
After your Training Consultation, we’ll decide which next step makes the most sense for your dog, your goals, and your schedule.
You’ll have two options:
Coaching Sessions are best if you want to be hands-on and learn how to work with your dog directly.
I’ll guide you through the training, help you troubleshoot, and give you clear homework to practice between sessions.
Day Training is best if you want more hands-on support during the week.
I’ll come to your home 3x per week to work directly with your dog, then we’ll meet for a weekly hand-off session so you know what we’re practicing and how to keep the progress going.
Some dogs do best with coaching only, while others benefit from a mix of direct training and owner support.
We’ll talk through the best fit during your consultation.
No. I don’t offer board-and-train, but I do offer Day Training for clients who want more hands-on support.
With Day Training, your dog stays in their home environment while I work with them 3x per week. You’ll also have a weekly hand-off session so you understand what your dog is learning and how to maintain the progress.
If you are traveling for 7 days or longer and are needing training maintained or started during that time, my Sit & Train service is another great option!
I use only positive reinforcement and force-free methods—teaching skills in a way that supports trust and long-term progress.
No. As a Certified Fear-Free Professional I am committed to following a humane, emotionally protective code of conduct and ethical standards with the animals in my care. I do not use prong collars, remote e-collars, or punishment-based corrections/intimidation practices - more info on this can be found under my 'Philosophy & Approach' section, of my About Page.
That’s okay — many dog owners were taught to use these tools before learning there were other options.
While I don’t use or recommend them, I’m happy to help you transition away from them. Training that makes real change, focuses on building skills your dog can rely on without discomfort or pressure, so you’re not dependent on tools to get results.
We’ll move at a pace that feels realistic for you and your dog, with the goal of creating lasting behavior change — not just short-term control.
Dog behavior & training isn’t something that can be guaranteed — and anyone who promises specific results is usually oversimplifying a very complex process.
Behavior change depends on many factors, including your dog’s history, their environment, emotional state, and how consistently skills are maintained & practiced between sessions. My role is to provide clear guidance, realistic plans, and ongoing support by adjusting where and when we need to— but progress is always a team effort.
What I can promise is thoughtful, individualized training, honest expectations, and support that’s focused on long-term improvement every step of the way.
