Multi-Certified Trainer & Behavior Consultant
Professional Pet Sitter
Like many pet professionals, my love for animals started early — but it showed up in very specific ways. I never wanted baby dolls. I wanted stuffed animals, plastic figurines, anything with four legs and a personality. When visiting family, I gravitated toward their pets first, often sitting quietly on the floor with them long before joining the rest of the conversation.
Over the years, I’ve shared my life with many dogs & cats, each one shaping the way I see behavior, communication, and connection. That early fascination eventually grew into a career built around understanding dogs and supporting the people who love them.
I started my career in San Francisco, California, first as a dog walker co-running the business with my husband Josh, where I quickly realized that so many of the behaviors I was seeing came down to communication, comfort, and understanding. If I wanted to walk multiple dogs at a time, off leash, I needed to better understand how they learned. That curiosity led me into training and behavior work, and I eventually became a certified trainer and behavior consultant.
Over time, my work naturally expanded beyond care alone. I saw how much pets benefit when their emotional needs, learning history, and environment are truly understood — not just managed. That’s what led me deeper into training and behavior work, helping guardians build calmer, more cooperative lives with their dogs through humane, science & behavior-based methods.
Today, I offer 1:1 Dog Training Coaching, In-Home Pet Sitting and Sit & Train services in McMinnville, Yamhill County, Sherwood and Tigard. Whether you have a shy cat, a sensitive rescue, or a dog who needs a little structure while you’re gone, I provide the kind of care I’d want for my own animals — consistent, compassionate, and completely personalized.

When I’m not caring for clients’ dogs and cats, you’ll probably find me out exploring Oregon’s trails with my dog Fern & my husband, or relaxing at home with a good book & our cat, Fig. I also own a small online retail store, Woof Cultr, where I design apparel that advocates for ethical, positive training methods — because I believe compassion should extend to every corner of what we do for animals.
I’ve built Pacific North Woof to be a place where families can truly breathe easy knowing their dogs and cats are cared for with the same level of dedication, understanding, and love I give my own.
My approach goes far beyond schedules, walks, or obedience cues — it’s about connection, comfort, and understanding behavior at its root.
When it comes to training, I only use positive reinforcement techniques that help build trust and confidence. I do not use corrective or punishing methods — no prong collars, no shock or e-collars. My goal is to make learning fun, motivating, and confidence-building for the animals I work with.
Training should be something your dog enjoys and wants to keep practicing, not something they have to endure.
Every animal has their own personality, history, and needs. My job is to meet them where they are and help them feel at ease. Whether it’s a cat who likes quiet company or a dog who needs a mix of play and structure into their daily training, I adapt to what works best for them.
The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB)—a leading authority made up of veterinarians and behavior experts—states that reward-based training offers the most advantages and the least harm to a dog’s welfare, and that there is no evidence that aversive methods are necessary for effective training or behavior modification.
